Usually, System directories and files will be hidden in Linux.To view them, press Ctrl+H. Now you can see all the folders contained in the parent directory.Press Ctrl+H again to hide then

Note that all the hidden folders are started with a dot (.) symbol.
You can use this trick to make your own folder invisible.
Just rename the folder such that the name starts with a “.” symbol.
Press Ctrl+H to make the folders listed/unlisted.
The same method is applicable for files also.
for example rename “Hello.txt” to “.Hello.txt”
