Resolve Apache 403 Forbidden Error

First check whether index.php or index.html is present on the server. Make sure that the current user have access to the /var/www directory. For that, Open the Terminal and type sudo chmod -R 0755 /var/www Now restart apache with the command  sudo service apache2 restart
